The Polly Quilt Pattern & Kit

Description

This joyful quilt is the perfect English Paper Piecing project to explore the shapes of the Polygon family. The quilt is made up of the Polly Block and incorporates jewels, hexagons, half hexagons, equilateral triangles and 60-degree diamonds.

It is a great project for raiding your stash or using a specific collection of fabrics. You can go for the scrappy look as I have done, using lots of different fabrics for each block. Or you can create a more concise design and hand select just six fabrics and repeat them for each block. The options for fabric choice and placement are limited only to your imagination.

The Polly Quilt pattern is written for intermediate to experienced quilt makers and EPPers. Knowledge of how to do English Paper Piecing and quilt construction is required to be able to make this quilt.

The quilt uses the following shapes:

1” Jewels (Quantity 320)

1” Hexagons (Quantity 101)

1” Half Hexagons (Quantity 120)

1” 60 Degree Diamonds (Quantity 117)

2” Equilateral Triangles (Quantity 112)

1” Equilateral Triangles (Quantity 8)

Finished Quilt Size: 39.5” 41.5”

PDF Pattern Only: includes separate PDF of printable scaled shapes to cut your own paper templates

Printed Pattern Only:  Colour A5 printed pattern booklet (does not include printable paper templates)

Pre-cut Paper Template Kit Only: includes all the paper templates required to make the quilt, cut from 210gsm paper. Shapes come packaged in cello bags and placed in convenient cardboard kit box.

I believe that this quilt pattern will bring those who stitch her joy as they slowly and with purpose sew the blocks together. It is a wonderful quilt to make for oneself to snuggle up under on the couch or for a child to sleep blissfully below, wrapped up in a sewers love.
