This delightful hexagon rosette design incorporates two favourites of mine, Hexie Flowers and embroidery. The design centers around seven hexie flowers sewn together with connecting hexagons that leave open spaces between them. In these open spaces, you will find some sweet garden friends, hiding amongst the flowers: Bumble Bee, Ladybird, and Butterfly.
This pattern has three different variations of how you might break up the flowers in terms of fabric colour and pattern choices. You can also choose which of the three garden friends’ embroideries you want to incorporate. In the pattern, Variation One uses the Bumble Bee and Ladybird, Variation Two uses the Bumble Bee and Butterfly and in Variation Three I have used all three embroidery designs.
This pattern comes with general English Paper Piecing instructions, step by step piecing instructions, applique instructions, graph and photos, embroidery technique instructions, and step by step embroidery instructions for the three designs with photos. The pattern also has a colouring graph so that you can play around with your fabric and colour choices.
