Description
Koralli is the Greek word for Coral. After I finished this quilt the mosaic style pattern combined with the Liberty Tana Lawn fabric prints and colours reminded me of the Greek Islands, of azure blue seas, and the textural patterns that are formed when looking down on to a coral reef from the sky.
I love the tessellated designs that you can create with Octagons and Squares and I really enjoyed coming up with this design. The quilt is pieced from ¾” size Octagons, Squares, Half Square Triangles and Isosceles Right Angle Triangles. The finished quilt measures approximately 16.5” wide and 16.25” high. While I chose to make a wall hanging, this design would look equally as good as a cushion.
The pattern comes complete with general English Paper Piecing instructions, coloured and numbered pattern graph, step by step piecing instructions using two different methods, and a colouring-in graph so that you can play around with your own colour/fabric placement.
